In-Class Exercise (Type of Representation)

I am reading semiotics in NM2101 and here it is again. Iconic, indexic and symbolic signs...

We are supposed to select an object and create iconic and indexic represenations of it. Since it is pair work, Joanne suggested that we should draw an Mp3 player as the icon and a pair of earphones as the indexic representation. We rejected headphones because earphones are more common. I drew an iPod because that was the first thing that came to our minds. As for the earphones, I hope they don't look like a stethoscope... (Joanne did suggest that it could be longer and I think it looks better now.)
